How do I add my own songs?

Open the built-in Zenius song browser from the home screen and paste or click a simfile link from zenius-i-vanisher.com. The .sm chart and audio are fetched through a CORS proxy, parsed in the browser, and played. Recent plays and favorites are remembered in localStorage; the chart itself is re-fetched on the next visit.

What is a .sm file?

StepMania's chart format. A .sm file describes the arrows for one song across multiple difficulties and references an audio file plus optional banner/background images. This browser version reads the .sm format used by desktop StepMania and ITGmania.

Does this work with a dance pad?

Yes — any USB or Bluetooth dance pad that emulates a keyboard/gamepad works. Map the pad's four arrows to the four lanes through your OS or pad firmware, or via the in-game key remap screen.

No. StepMania runs entirely in the browser as static HTML/JS. No plugins, no install, no signup.

Can I play offline?

The game page itself can be cached by the browser, but songs from the Zenius library are fetched per play, so browsing or replaying those needs a connection.
