Wave your hand in front of the camera to play. Move left ↔ right for pitch, lean in or
out for volume. Hand tracking runs on your device — video never leaves this page.

How to play
Touch mode
— drag on the pad:
X
sets pitch (left = low, right = high),
Y
sets volume (bottom = silent, top = loud). A
second finger
adds vibrato (X = rate, Y = depth).
Air mode
— wave your hand in front of the front camera. Move
left ↔ right
to change pitch, and move
toward or away
from the camera to change volume (closer = louder, like leaning into a real theremin's
volume antenna). The fingertip dot grows as you push your hand in, so you can see your
dynamics. With two hands visible: your
right
hand drives pitch and volume, your
left
hand adds vibrato (X = rate, Y = depth).
Pick a
scale
to snap pitches to a key — set it to
Continuous
for true theremin glide.
Glide
smooths big pitch jumps; turn it down for snappy attacks, up for liquid swoops.
Paint
turns your fingertip — finger on screen in touch mode, or right-hand index tip in air mode
— into a glowing rainbow trail. Stays on for recordings, so a 10-second clip captures
whatever you "drew" along with the audio.
Rec 10s / 30s
captures a sharable video of your performance. The
Muted / Unmuted
toggle next to the Rec buttons mixes your microphone into the recording when unmuted (your
browser will ask for permission the first time). Mic is only on while a recording is
actually in progress.
